Social Justice

The Social Justice Committee exists to organize, educate and inspire St. Ambrose parishioners to make the social teachings of the Church real and active in their lives and the lives of the community as a whole. Remembering that Christ said “Whatever you do unto the least of these, you do unto me”, our work is guided through the teachings toward securing economic and social justice for all people, especially those most in need.

The Social Justice Committee plans and implements events and programs that inform, educate and help promote the social teachings of the Catholic Church. Events include quarterly coffee sale, fair trade sale, justice speakers as well as special events like Fiesta Grande for Friends of the Orphans, Feed My Starving Children and the Justice and Outreach Fair. The Committee meets monthly September through May.

We are pleased to offer a new series on social justice issues: Catholic Teaching for Today - From Prayer to Action.
